Thru The Eyes of Kimberlee:
Over many years I have endeavored to paint with oils, acrylics, pastels and watercolors. I presently enjoy watercolors the most. Often watercolor is presumed to have a transparent and low value appearance. I have transformed my works of art into multiple layers with intensified color glazes dependent upon technique and individual expression. After thirty-plus years I have become a consistently changing, self-taught artist. I have decided to convey to other art enthusiasts my genuine love affair with color and nature, which I have personally experienced while creating carefully, my watercolor works of art. People tell me that when they see my paintings they can’t believe that it is actually watercolor. The values and intense colors that I use are like nothing they have ever seen before. Numerous visits to Buchart Floral Gardens in Victoria, British Colombia, Canada, Sheriner’s Iris Gardens, the Portland Rose Garden and the beautiful Northwest have inspired me to recreate in watercolor the magnificent beauty of nature. God has given me the artistic talent and inner energy to paint so I hope I can bless and instill in others that special gift of allowing them to see through the eyes of Kimberlee.
