Portland, Ore. — As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, please remember that the need for blood never takes a vacation.  While blood donations typically decline around major holidays, you can help by donating blood at the American Red Cross Celebrate Freedom Blood Drive on Friday, July 4th. 

The event runs from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM.  Presenting donors will receive a 2-for-1 ticket voucher to an upcoming Beavers game on either July 5th or 6th, a free apple pie from Shari’s, an event t-shirt and an all-beef hot dog from the Oregon Beef Council while supplies last. 

There will also be children’s activities and fun with the Rose City Clowns.
